Is this the game where they ban people for playing the auction house?

Do you mean by "playing the AH" - selling items that are lowly priced and then reposting them at a higher, more market-based priced? Cuz if so, then I sure as hell hope not!

My SO does this in every game he plays, and he has yet to ever be banned for it (SWTOR or elsewhere).

In other news I'm still not 50~

I stopped some weeks ago. Hmm. And to think I had almost finished the first part of the storyline, that's sad. I might pay a month someday to finish it.

I stopped playing a couple of months ago. I was up to lvl 48. There are aspects of the game which are interesting, but most of it annoys me. There's nothing particularly interesting w/r to the combat visuals and effects. Oh, and you don't really get to look at those, because you're too busy checking for your target's powers activating, so you can disrupt them, because even tanks don't have much in the way of passive defense. Oh, and then there are the Qbert puzzles (otherwise known as hunting for datacrons). If I wanted to have a Jedi jump around without Force Leap to win minor prizes, I'd be satisfied with any of a hundred 1980s-90s video games. The "space combat" is a joke: a video arcade game, not like the old X-Wing, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance games.

The game had a decent chance of being good, but I just find it stressful and frustrating. Part of the issue is that I don't really enjoy MMOs. Other players get in the way more than they help out (whether or not they're on your team), and MMOs are forced to put game "balance" at a priority above game fun, very much to the detriment of the latter.

I stopped playing shortly after reaching 50 on my Sith Juggernaut. It was fun leveling and seeing the story, but I hated doing instances. They shoulda just made KOTOR 3, cause that's basically how I played it.

Still waiting on 1.2's updates/fixes. In the mean time, I've started a Sith Marauder and have been playing some PvP. I've NEVER gotten into PvP in MMOs. I think I need to go back and look at it on the other games. I'm actually having fun. :P

The game itself hasn't bored me yet (there's lots of story lines that I'd be interested in exploring), but I just haven't found the social aspect that I was wanting. I've joined a guild on my Empire server, and they aren't "social" in guild chat. It's like, they do what they want to do and ignore whomever else is online.

My Republic side I joined up to play with some IRL friends. So far, I've discovered I hate playing with them. One of them is so anal about it, there can't be any joshing about or silly snide comments about the dialog or anything. It's worse than being at work. So I've just stopped playing with them.

So, I spend money on an MMO and I don't get any fun multi-player.

Yeah, my server went down the shitter, so I can kind of sympathize. The guild I have been a part of for 10 years kind of abandoned the game. Went from a sort of mmo that kind of was mmo-y yet single playerish to a total single player game. The pvp aspect even got to be awkward to. The imps have pretty much left my server, we might have 20 people on in the imperial fleet that are able to do level 50 pvp, and it really isn't guild based. It is all pick up groups, so a large majority of the time we get trounced. I haven't cancelled yet, for I am going to give 1.2 a chance. With the changes I saw on the test server tho, it doesn't look too impressive. I don't even know if my guild has enough for folks for premade groups.

Started to log in and saw the notice. 1.2 is planned for tomorrow, April 12. It would've been today if it weren't for "a brief issue with patch deployment earlier today."

I stopped playing for a bit, but that's because I can't afford an MMO right now. But I'm hoping back on when I can. I want to unlock a Chiss to have a Chiss smuggler.

I just canceled my membership. I just wasn't enjoying playing the game solo style, and I didn't find a group of people to play with that made the game enjoyable.

C'est la vie.

I partially take back my earlier criticism of SWTOR. I tried it during a free trial weekend and it was really good. I'd buy it if it were a one-time purchase, but I'm not going to pay a subscription for it, so until they change their business model I'm not going to play it.

Give it time, it may go free-to-play yet. In the mean time, I'll be chuggin' along.

I just hit Legacy Level 6 so it looks like I get a free month along with the level 50s. (I'm level 48. What can I say, I'm an altaholic.)

I like the events on Tatooine. Reminds me of the way WoW does events. I guess they learned from the best.
