I love this feature. Any way that INTJ forum could incorporate it?

No, it would ruin the forum.
You don't want to bring the problems that reddit has to this forum.

lol I knew this would come up. I thought we, being INTJs, would treat it responsibily though. Would be nice to have just an up arrow/"like" though. To show how many people agree with or find a post useful/interesting/etc. That tiny bit of giving back.

I think similar options have been asked before. In general the admins seem to stay away from features that could create cliques or a popularity contest.

The only thing this would do would be to ensure the most popular opinions go to the top.

Things are either true or false regardless of how popular they are. If people do not want to read a thread in it's entirety to find out exactly what is being discussed and what went on and the different arguments people are making and the subtly of it all and instead want the most popular opinions just delivered to them so they can quickly judge them they can just go and seek out a different website to feed their confirmation bias.

Also it would really break the flow of conversation and discussion and pretty much make it impossible where you have 1 or 2 polarized opinions and everybody would probably just up or down-vote these opinions instead of seeking to explore the issue through back and forth questioning and conversation.

Rating systems tend to encourage cliques and stifle debate. People with unpopular opinions are less likely to post, and you end up with friends rating each other highly. Unpopular opinions often lead to some of the most popular discussions because a bunch of people agreeing with each other is boring. Since the purpose of this forum is to encourage debate and discussion, rating systems not only are useless, but work against that goal. If you want to tell another user you enjoyed their post, the "post a comment" feature is the way to do it.

Here is an answer from Jezebel when a similar request was brought up:

It doesn't work that way here. This is meant to be a discussion and debate forum that promotes discussing topics at length. There is no best answer and threads are not resolved. Just look at the type of threads here; who would have the 'best answer' in debate about abortion? The person who holds a position the thread author agrees with the most? It just isn't a format that would work here.
