They are both hormones, and both dramatically affect human development and daily biochemistry in ways we don't fully understand. |

There are already multiple studies about prolonged melatonin usage. All have been positive. |

I hope you donate your body, or at least your demographics, to science! |

Well I recently got my physical and blood work done, and it said my body was functioning at a level of someone who was 10 years younger. So who knows? |

Thats really interesting, and I know some other long term melatonin users, probably around a decade.
As for 5-htp, I have started using it every other day, and it still works wonderfully. Ive cut out caffeine again, and it was sooo much easier this time. I dont have cravings in the slightest bit, which is amazing seeing as how I used to crave caffeine more than Morphine or Oxys. Im not kidding in the slightest. Ive had a ton of stress on me lately, and Im handling it like its almost not there. On a separate note, I have been taking an energy and a memory mix of vitamins, and they both seem to be working really well. I could barely get through the workday before, and now I have no trouble. I work about 70 hours a week, about 40 driving. Ive only had two days in the last two weeks that Ive been tired at the end of the day. |

I've begun taking 5-HTP again and am having actually very good results. From yesterday's 'down in the dumps' to today's 'enhanced mood', I feel much more productive and sane.

Still going strong myself. I found that avoiding fructose and taking in more omega 3s has really helped to stabilize my progress. |

I took 5-htp for about a year or so, every day, pretty high dose (200mg time release).
It worked well, especially toward the start. I noticed that it reached some point where I don't seem to want it anymore, I feel better without it. So, I've stopped taking it and have a bit more energy and feel even better than when I was taking it. So, overall it seemed to be productive and not habit forming. Then again it probably gave me cancer or something, but oh well. |
