Are Female Expats safer with darker hair in dark-haired countries? None

Not sure where else to post this...


Do you think female expats are safer with darker hair (rather than lighter) in countries where most people are dark-haired?

Let's say these countries also happen to be...er...dangerous.



I'm inclined to think darker hair would make a female less of a target in these countries, based on personal experience and speculation.

Maybe I'm just stating the obvious. But what say you? No research to back up your opinions required...

It really depends on the country - but in general yes I'd say blending in is good for anyone. I've read too many stories about lone Western women disappearing in other countries to ever recommend traveling by oneself though.
