Only if they say I look like Poseidon.

Yes, if:
1. They capture me as I am. Don't paint me thinner, unscarred, unblemished. Paint me how I actually look. Reality is more interesting, more honest, and nothing to be ashamed of. 2. If they sit for me in return. Sitting for a painter one-on-one can be very personal, and I would trust the painter a lot more if they went out on a limb and allowed our positions to be reversed. Plus, I could always use a new model to draw from. |

My first love was an artist that could draw from memory, tad embarrassing when he drew me from memory, naked, and proudly showed my mother

I was telling him on facebook the other day, he said he could still draw me from memory, I told him I would sue him if he made my butt look big To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. My best friend made a painting of me based on a photograph so I did not have to sit still for a long time.
It's hanging on the wall in my living room. |

Been drawn and photographed. Photographed others. I'm picky about who, though, as it feels intimate.

YES! That's exactly why. In retrospect, I recall an incident with a friend of a friend who ended up being creepily fixated. He asked to take some pictures when we were all together enjoying the day by a gorgeous river, purportedly since he was an amateur photographer. After seeing the results, it made my skin crawl since his fixation came through clearly. My friend thought it was flattering where to me it felt invasive, as if he'd touched me. |

Probably not, at least not any kind of formal painting or drawing. I've sat for five minutes with my family for a comic sketch at a party once. I really wasn't even in to that.

absolutely. I love seeing things from new perspectives, and I would see me through the eyes of someone else. Also, I would love to talk to the artist while I sat. Unless that wasn't allowed - in which case I would be happy to retreat into my mind and stay for a while.

I think I know what you mean. With me it's usually been friends/lovers, except once. I woke up with a couple of friends. We walked into the kitchen. I was hung over and grubby. It was the first snow of the season, and his flatmate, a photographer, wandered in with his dog and asked to photograph me. It felt right at the time and I said yes. Never asked to see the pictures. I liked the way he hung out with his dog. |
