I've been reading that creatine supplementation improves memory and cognitive process' along with its famed musclebuilding properties, has anybody here noticed much difference? I've been a bit oldschool about my muscles, but I am considering the upgrade.

I use creatine to improve my weight training performance. I take about 6g a day, but I haven't noticed any memory or cognative boost from it.

Day 3 of the experiment, I have noticed a bit more of an alertness but not as much as with a stimulant, and I seem to do a little better on my daily mental exercises. It will take a while longer for me to determine if it isn't just a placebo effect.

5 grams, I weigh 145 lb-ish
An average day goes like this Veggies> beans> whole grains> milk> fruit> eggs> fish/chicken (in that order and the last two vary). Lots of water and 2 cups green tea. |

I've been using 3=5g of Creatine daily for the last 9 months. Is has made no difference to my cognitive functioning as far as I am aware. I have also been taking 30-60g of Omega 3 fatty acids daily for the same sort of time frame, and again, I am unaware of any changes to my cognitive functioning.
If either of these have made a difference, it's something I'd need to be scientifically tested for as I can't detect any improvements in my day to day life. Perhaps it would effect different people though? |
