Why were we there in the first place?

Obviously, you don't own large blocks of stock in defense contracting firms, construction companies, or international oil conglomerates.

War is silly.
I'm glad to see it over. Why were we there in the first place?

Um, because your government duped you?

President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell, the CIA, and pretty much everyone else in America were deceived by poor intelligence reports from British Prime Minister Tony Blair and British Intelligence MI5. Either this was a comedy of errors from MI5 or this was a super-secret plot to cause America grief for kicking Britain's collective ass in the War of 1812. The Brits just won't let this go...

And now, the top ten reasons why the British are out to get even with America and screw over Iraq:

10. British Petroleum wants to drive up the price of oil.

9. British Petroleum sabotaged American shorelines with an oil spill from an "accidental" oil rig explosion.

8.The British Petroleum oil rig explosion terribly damaged the American oil industry by causing President Obama to establish a drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Texas (which used to be called the Gulf of Mexico, but, hey, this is America, so we decided to claim those waters for ourselves).

7. We saved Britain's ass in WWII and they're envious of our position and status as the world's "sole remaining super power".

6. We don't like monarchies.

5. The Brits are tired of looking like America's lackeys in the world's eyes.

4. Britain created Iraq's borders and, well, "if I can make you, I can break you"...well, unless you're America...

3. The Brits secretly are trying to cover up their latest quest for the Holy Grail.

2. There's a bee up the Queen's bum.

And now, the number one reason why the British are out to get even with America and screw over Iraq:

1. We keep having all these new Tea Parties!!!

Not since my first encounter with Ray9, have I been so uncertain as to whether a not a given post was satirical in nature.
