Bach rules. Vivaldi comes close second. Yann Tiersen for the more modern stuff.

I can't name a single favorite composer. Even if a lot of my favorite music was written by a single person on their own (as opposed to in collaborative way in a band dynamic), I wouldn't be able to pick. It's just like trying to pick a favorite color; there are lots of beautiful hues and nuances.

Bach, Schubert, Beethoven, Rimsky-Korsakov, Chopin (especially), Eno (experimental-modern works), etc.

A lot of people mentioned Tchaikovsky. However, I find his works are very arid and sour.

Mozart I will admit has talent but I'm not much of a fan of his works.

Mahler and Beethoven. These two speak to my soul.

Other favorites: Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Shostsakovich

I definitely have a German/Russian theme going on.

That's strange, 'cause a lot of people find him sacchariny. (Although I don't see how that applies to Symphony #5, e.g.) I guess it depends on the work in question.

My favorite composer? Rimsky-Korsakov, hands down. I also like Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, and Stravinsky. In Europe, I'm not a big fan of too many composers. Many of them are good, like Verdi, and many are excellent, like Beethoven, but I can't claim to like their music as a whole. I may love Rondo a la Turque (And Blue Rondo a la Turk, for that matter), but I can't claim to feel the same about a fair amount of other music by Mozart. Although I love everything (that I've heard) by Rimsky-Korsakov, if you picked a piece by Mozart at random, chances are I wouldn't be too big a fan of it.

In America, I'm a huge fan of Gershwin and Bernstein, and an uncountable number of jazz composers. Outside of Russia, Europe and America, I don't have much experience.

I used to love classical music, especially Chopin or the Planets Suite by Holst. Recently however, I've found myself favouring film and TV soundtracks. My favourite composers and songs are Hans Zimmer (Now We Are Free - Gladiator), James Horner (I See You - Avatar), and Murray Gold (This is Gallifrey - Doctor Who).

I'm a classical music slut with no loyalty to any specific composer. Flavour, piece, mood, audience.

I tend to like stuff with catchy melodies and sombre or epic moods. Beethoven and Wagner seem to be the only ones I like consistently. Otherwise it is hit and miss.
