Stuff on BBC Knowledge:
---------- Post added 07-30-2011 at 10:48 AM ---------- Also been watching re-runs of That '70s Show and I have to say the Annie Hall impression (parody scene) was hilarious. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

The Suicide Tourist.
I fell asleep half way through, not because it was uninteresting but I had taken some cold medication and it knocked me out like a Tyson uppercut. I am going to rewatch it. |

Don't have much time (or desire) to watch much, but we did get Netflix about 5 months ago. I have been watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" from the beginning. I'm now about to start season 7. Used to love the show when I was younger. It's fun and entertaining, IMO.

Amadeus - I'm enjoying it. I really relate to Salieri and Amadeus on an emotional level (not implying any relation to me on a talent level - because there probably isn't any). Salieri when I'm in a bad mood, Amadeus when I'm in a good mood.

I live in a house with two toddlers, so there are a lot of kids shows on...
There are also a lot of kids movies, like Dispicible me (which I actually thought was cute), Toy Story 3 (hate all the Toy Story movies), Ice Age 3 (hated), and Tangled (eh... it was ok) I would rather sit through a kid movie marathon than listen to My Baby Can Read again, though... I wanted to kill myself... I don't have kids, and this has made me glad I will never have to teach my dog to read. (If someone ever invents My Puppy Can Read, I will have to murder them) My best friend (/ roommate) watches marriage ref, which is funny sometimes, but mostly annoying. The only show I really get excited about right now is True Blood. I also recently got introduced to Adventure Time... I almost spit wine out of my nose. I wasn't expecting it to actually be funny. I've also been watching D Gray Man... so good. As far as movies, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Inglorious Basterds, Shadow of the Vampire, Gentlemen Broncos and I Sell the Dead. And I loved all of them. I sat on the couch for a while after Gentlemen Broncos like "what the eff did I just see?" and I want a shirt that says "He punched the highlights out of her hair!" |

That '70s Show: There was a scene where like these supposed-to-be cool/hip rock DJs at the radio Donna works at turned out to be into Dungeons & Dragons. And it was supposed to be like... funny. Like if you were into rock music you couldn't also be into D&D. But I don't get it. Was D&D supposed to be the kind of thing geeky kids did in the '70s? Because now it's all retro chic and everything. I'm saying "like" to much, like Jackie.

I usually hate extras on TV/films. I always thought the whoever directed Frasier did an awful job with the extras (they'd just talk and talk, and make hand gestures). But on Golden Girls, the extras actually act like real people with personalities. They look around, have awkward moments with their wedding party dates/plus ones, sip a drink. Instead of talking whilist nodding. And, yes, I notice that kind of stuff. ---------- Post added 08-12-2011 at 12:17 PM ---------- Oh and has anyone seen that episode of That '70s Show where Michael gets " To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. I recently watched "Paul" attempting to get a good laugh. Unfortunately, I was a tad bit disappointed by the premise that if there are aliens then there is no god. I believe in both...one doesn't cancel out the other. So yeah, instead of laughing I was annoyed by this simple assumption. Yes, I know, its just a movie...

Catching up on the current season of Breaking Bad.
Seems to be heading down a different path from previous seasons; not exactly enjoying it. |

OMG. It's so classy and Old World (although, the wigs are "interesting". LOL). To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. It's kind of like watching Sherlock Holmes. Plus, everyone's speaking in those beautiful accents. PLUS, there's that pretty European-looking detective boy working for Scotland Yard. Oh my. Why do Europeans have such... pretty faces? I love how they manage to look manly and pretty at the same time (like some Italians I know and Jonas Malmsjö). I mostly don't understand what they're saying most of the time, it's like they're not even speaking English (either it's their gorgeous accents or I'm distracted over being fascinated by everything else on the show). I like the way judges/attorneys behave in British courts (they don't act much like Denny Crane, although I LOVE Denny Crane). I'd watch the show again! ---------- Post added 08-26-2011 at 04:31 AM ---------- Also: the British courts scenes are so "subtle" (sorry, I can't find a different way to describe it). Very graceful. |
