The ideal man doesn't exist. Or he is me. Point.

A kitten doing water skiing wearing huge boots reminds me a bit the story of the puss in boots. The ideal man!... I don't think so! Potential ideal man.... maybe!

Nah, the ideal man is a real one, not the ideal one in anybody's head. Real version of imaginary man always trumps imaginary one. Apologies to any imaginary friends.

I love paradoxes. XD

for me, it does. i was with a guy who i had a lot of feelings for, but when i discovered he didn’t have enough...eh hem, girth, i knew it wasn’t going to be long term. i guess im looking for the total package if you get my drift.

but i guess to be more specific in what i look for in a man, is independence. A man who has his own money and is confident enough in his manhood to not be intimidated by a woman who is succesfful and is financially secure.

some might think im vain, i say i just know what i want and wont settle.

I don't think it has to but it depends on the guy. If the guy is smaller but he is sexy and he can work what he's got then it's all good. Sex starts in the brain and if the dude makes me hot, with the way he carries himself and he's confident the sex can be great. Intercourse isn't the only way to orgasm :-)

But the ideal guy for me would be one that loves & likes me just how I am with a minor tweek here or there. I am open to different personality types I would think because it would seem that having someone just like me would be boring. However, I would like a dude that isn't afraid to talk to me and doesn't feel the need to win arguments or compete with me. I want a man brave enough to tell me when I am wrong. Most of the time I debate because I enjoy the exploration of debate and the different ideas that result. Most people seem to consider debate a bad thing like someone has to win and someone has to lose. I never care about winning or losing, only about coming to a logical rational conclusion that can be used as a basis from which to continue learning. It seems the hang up with me is that men need to feel needed and they don't seem to feel needed around me ;-(

Usually a debate between a man and a woman is like they speak two different languages. A man uses logical arguments while woman prefer emotional tricks.
Whould that made ideal the man that uses emotional tricks as well?

I don't know that I believe in an ideal but I do believe in the "One".

The words that came to my mind were: strong and sensitive.

Strong and capable and sensitive to a woman's needs as well. Someone who despite having everything can still cherish her and need her.

...Actually sounds like what an SFJ woman would want on second thought.

Ideal for me would mean warm demeanor, kind, intelligent (like BOOK SMART intelligent), witty, cultured / likes the arts, spiritual, high moral integrity, well-dressed, good-looking (but not intimidatingly so), more structured & outgoing than me, responsible with some ambition/goals, is passionate about something, and bonus points for good music taste & interest in travel.

I think this sounds like: ENFJ :P

I don't think it matters for women. Any man with functioning equipment is ideal, since no matter what flaws come with that man... they can change him. lol

But I wonder - what is it more important for women about a man :
His appearance or his intelligence? (I suppose both could make a good match- but in case a woman had to choose? What she would choose?)

Anyway the ideal man for me would be the one who finds me the ideal woman. Who really knows me and finds me the ideal woman I should say.

I would add "Who really knows me and STILL finds me the ideal woman".

These descriptions are perfect. I'll let you know when my angel appears.

Girls, I'm asking about "characteristics" of a person who could have been the ideal man!
Powerful, intelligent, strong, successfull, compasionate, sensitive, talkative... I don't know. Characteristics, so that I can see if there are any characteristics in common that women find ideal in to man.
OK! Let me go first.
1. Intelligence
2. Competence
3. Humour
4. Understanding
5. Persistence
These are the most important characteristics of an ideal man for me. Now is your turn!

Hmmm.
1. Short (but not too much)
2. Stocky (but not fat)
3. Smart (but not brainy)
4. Passionate
5. I seem to only pair up with men who speak a language that I cant speak. Then I pander to their every whim until I have finished absorbing the language. Then its Wham, Bam, see ya Sam.
6. Attractive (but not pretty)
7. Sometimes I find ugly to be attractive but not for a relationship. In spanish its called Morboso but im not sure what the equivalent would be in english.
8. Masculine. He can be somewhat fem but not petty/caddy/childish/pretentious. I had a turkish boyfriend who was somewhat fem but he fit all the other characteristics that I didnt mind. He was a raging bull in bed but his F function was exhausting.
9. But It would be grand if I could just have Leo the Argentinian back. Bastard took my heart, crushed it to peices and tossed it into the gutter.
