Consistent with experiences shared on this board, I often struggle in relationships with incompetent authority figures or inflated ego's without even trying. That "aura" thing that we all have drives controlling personalities insane.

Do any of you have the same problem with other INTJ's? Recently, I found myself working side by side with another INTJ in a shared management situation. They had formulated some unrealistic visions about how people should behave and fit into their roles, then attempted to impose their will on the whole staff. Compared to him, I was far more experienced and sought to delegate authority whenever possible to cultivate the skills of the staff. Ultimately, he was very controlling and had problems relating outside of that boss/expert - subordinate relationship. When I was around him, I felt like I was the extrovert. My "I" is more like 33 and I believe his is more like 70 so I can see how that would happen. My N=88, T=56 and J=56 for reference.

Does this resonate with any of you?

It seems like it would be quite the struggle, if one of you sees the other operating inefficiently(whatever that may be to you as individuals) you will take over and try to right their wrongs. But no, I don't have that problem specifically. My boss is an INFP. And well, most times it works fine, then the shadow function appears...
