In the world of computers :
I have seen Virtualization to be used everywhere ~6 ahead of time.
XML ~5 years.
Vista to be a set back for Microsoft ~2 years of time.
Actually,
Two years ago, I have seen that GNU/Linux will take a big chunk of Desktop market share in the 5 to 6 years to come.
I see a revolution coming in the way we deal with information today. It's called the Meta Information wave; where different type of information will relate to each other thus representing exactly the same way we keep track of our memories in our minds. (3 to 5 years from now)
I see something more sophisticated than PDAs and Mobile Phones going to take place where we no longer need those Desktop PCs & Laptops as the main tool to do our daily work. (5 to 6 years from now)
