Great explanation! I think if one loses the ability to maintain high standards, they sort of enter a vicious cycle resulting in a gradual transformation of their internal self where they eventually become a hypocrite in some social contexts/

Stop making interesting threads that I am compelled to post an answer. You are making me look like a stalker.

Your ego precedes you. That's why you have no friends.

It's funny because you and I must be travelling down the same road but passing one another in the opposite direction. Most of my life has been what you are currently doing, but now I find myself escaping more Listening (IMHO) is one of the greatest gifts you can give to a person. I do see Ni acting in ways similar to a sponge and meditating is a great way to ring it out. It's a wonderful holistic exercise I think our two types can reap many rewards from.

And no worries, thank you! Seriously shout out anytime

I apologize and I noticed after I responded you removed it, but decided to just leave my response anyways. I hope you don't mind. And thanks, yeah, being an INFJ is taxing and we are prone to overload, but I have my owns ways of channeling it. I have become more vocal as I get older and try not to hold back as much. I do appreciate it

Meditation is a great way to grow and tap into oneself. I have gotten much satisfaction from it as well and glad you have had positive experiences with it. I still have much to master with it, but I have found it tap into my intuitive side even more. It also keeps me internally more centered, which in turn helps others as well. To answer your question, I don't truly know if you are making yourself ill. I can't see you nor do I know how you internalize some of this. I know it can start to consume some of us, but it sounds like you have a positive process to release it. I think meditation has miracle ways of healing and I am glad you discovered it. Don't mind what I am saying, you know yourself better than anyone else. I am just glad you are also caring for yourself.

Thanks very much, it hasn't been the easiest path but it has been well worth it. We would honestly be lost without each other which is a crazy realization considering how independent we both are.

I have concerns for the majority of people in this forum. It can be heartbreaking to see the struggles the younger individuals are having. Personally I don't find this the greatest time to be living with all the uncertainty taking place in the world. It does break my heart for the younger kids. It can be easy to get swept up into all the suffering around us. It is definitely hard to manage witnessing and the disturbance I have is the projecting, stereotyping and general lack of compassion some of them endure. But the thing is too, you can't enable them. I have fallen into that path and it doesn't solve anything.

The internet is a great medium for the more socially ackward and I know it has most likely saved many lives in the process. I just hate to see people use it as a crux and not get the proper help they may need to fly up into the sky and succeed. I want truth and justice in this world but I also know my ideals are not practical.

I can sense your intent is a very good one. I could see that before, but you have to remember it is not your responsibility in saving these people. I can see this is something you are very passionate about, but at the same time you have to look out for yourself as well. You are a good role model and sadly there are very few in here. I also struggle tremendously online because so much language is missing. I have a lot of paranoia in who I am dealing with, if people are people honest, etc or are they just taking me for a ride. I don't want to see that happening to you.

You're a well meaning person, but honestly do not make yourself ill over this. It is easier said then done sometimes. You want to give the younger ones the push to be the best they can be and that is honorable. You can give them the push but it is truly up to them to path their destiny.

Aww that is sweet! Well personally I find myself a bit crazy :P Just goes with being an INFJ. My husband is an INTP and they are a handful! It took many years of patience on both our ends to get to a peaceful place. INTP's are not so bad, but I have to say the ones online drive me nuts. I prefer to avoid them.
