I refused to go F simply because he is an F, like you say, even though he doesn't know that.

Ah yes, if we attempt to understand one another. Unfortunately such a thing does not happen in my family. I don't know if I've met an SF, I'm rather horrible at diagnosing anyone who isn't an INTJ or an INFJ so I'm not sure what my preference is. Well. My preference is NT =P

I think the source of conflict between la mere and I is simply that she expects me to act like an INFJ, she really can't wrap her head around the fact that I simply do not value emotions. I find, now that I know our types, I can deal with her accordingly but we definitely clash when she makes expectations of me that I can't live up to.
