Yeah, maybe he isn't a 3, and is just a basement dwelling troll like much of the internet. He's never been just himself, always some persona of a bad ass of some sort.

The attempt at pickup artistry would have been ineffective, but not hilarious if it had been more genuine. It was just right out of the book, literally.

I am still surprised by the gullibility of posters like RT taking Charlie seriously. He's in character, and there is never a time when he isn't. He is not an 8, regardless of his vocabulary. I emailed privately with him years ago, and he was full of shit then. He had that book, the Art of Seduction, I think it was, and he was trying some of those techniques on me. LOL. It was obviously contrived. He told me that he was trying to be an actor, and liked to develop characters online. I think he still does that, even if I don't think he's trying to be an actor.

I wasn't hinting at anything, heh. I was mostly just surprised at pork and Glasgow. And of course the occasional credulous fool on the eidb. He seems so obviously postured to me.

Honestly, I think the man's a 3, but I'm clearly in the minority once again. :D No one else does.

Yeah, Lake is like saintly with the histrionics. I think I dislike them equally, but I love Lila, so I guess it comes down to the person over the type.

Why do you suppose that otherwise reasonably intelligent people like to engage with Chuckles on eidb?

Also, yeah, you were right with 6w7 for Lake.

Lately i've been thinking that a lot of those who have xNTx or just emphasise the NT part are among the least "NT" around here. Or that MBTI is no measure of competency. One of the two.

Yep! Right down to the hyperbole. I suppose they'd both deny the similarities with similar vigor.

I hadn't paid much attention to him until now.

If you get a chance to see it, let me know what you think. I found it well done, the actors were capable, and I enjoyed the work put into the sets.

The God in the first tale sounds like the one that you describe from the book, so I imagine that they're the same.

I do like the accent. When I was around 11 years old I saw an interview with Stuart Adamson, and I was fascinated with how he spoke. I think it's one of my favorite accents if not my top favorite.

Oh, and I loved God in the first tale--he's not dead, he just doesn't give a fuck. He shows up in all the tales as a loutish sort of imp. If there is a God, I think he's close to Welsh's God.

Did you see The Acid House? I think that I remember you mentioning that you liked Irvine Welsh.

I just watched it, twice, and it is sticking with me. I liked the sordid depths of the tales. I also found it amusing that there were subtitles on it for the US. :D I don't know if our films are subtitled for English speakers in other countries...I think I'd find that funny.

I'm sure the book(s) are better, I haven't read any of his. Do you recommend any?

Sorry, in that case I have no idea what happened. Like you noted, posts that the users delete themselves leave a trace, as do those I delete.

There is no deletion notification for anyone, not even the poster. But posts deleted by a moderator should leave a trace - you should be able to see who deleted them and what reason they gave (if any). If there were posts that "just disappeared" I would have to assume it was an admin's doing, perhaps because they were the posts of an user who got banned very quickly.

I am a lay person as well, but I still find myself on the side of "logical." It was only through logic that we understood the nature of knowledge. The existence of vexing questions that seem unanswerable in formal terms was confirmed by logic itself. I don't think anyone denies that there are certain experiences that can't be defined by some formal language. I do think it is arrogant to say that everything can be defined in such a way. But it is logic that provides this answer, so I feel that it is in fact a win for logic and not a loss.

Do you know of any stats for that? I think i've tried looking in the past to no avail.

Before today i had never considered 5 could be my core type. As i'm reading so far, it seems my mbti and 5w4 isn't all that uncommon.

Never had you down as a 6 either. My whole knowledge base is in need of revamping.
