mmm, yeah, it's only the nth religion claiming "this shit's real and this is how it happened". a true scholar, as some christians like to tout having studied theology, would recognize that not only is christanity not an old religon, it's not even an original one.

yes, but it's unfortunate that people ascribe credibility to good morals only on the basis that this "jesus" person existed to "save our souls" and that "god wants us to follow the teachings of the good book".
