I'm agnostic.
It's not that I think that there's no god (there may be), I just think that if there's a god, it's highly unlikely that it's the one that most of the Bible references.
But if something is 3, then it's not 1.
In other places, God refers to himself as 'I', and not 'we'. Which one of the 3 would this be?
Other places in the Bible say there's just one god.
There is also mention of 'the LORD among the gods', and God himself says that he's going to execute judgement against the gods of Egypt.
Of course take all the time you need. Just please be aware in the future that people will be much less hostile to your beliefs if you don't state them as fact without the reasons that made you believe they were fact.
If you can find the research that brought you to your conclusions it would be much more helpful and I would be much more willing to respect your beliefs.
I take into consideration logical correctness. Whether premises or conclusions are true or false, becomes irrelevant when the argument for those are invalid. Take into consideration an analytical approach rather than trusting your guts.
Fair enough, if you've done the research than list it. If not don't make an assertion as if it is fact and expect a group of thinking people to accept it. The original topic was why do you believe as you believe? And it was about getting better reasons out of people than this kind of dogmatic answer. You can use Bible if it lists a good reason, but if your trying to prove that the Bible is the ultimate source of proof for all truth your going to need something outside of it to back up those claims.
Didn't say you were a stupid redneck, though you are not giving reasons for your beliefs. What I see is a close minded dogma following church goer who will believe church propoganda without looking at where the ideas came from, or whether they are true. I get along with rednecks better.
