i'm pretty sure even an infinite self sustaining energy could not let you travel at the speed of light because of relativity (nothing with mass can travel at or faster than the speed of light) even if you were accelerating forever you couldn't reach the speed of light you would have to release an infinite amount of energy all in one instant wich is impossible considering it would instantly end the universe also if you could travel at the speed of light the quarks that make up atoms would lose there connection and fly off into space and you would cease to exist.

Hmm.. True. I like to think of how I was knowledge deprived as a youth and found myself deferring my thirst by making quite the philosophical models at a very young age. In essence a mind that finds a way opposed to a mind that suites an environment. I wonder were the drive comes from if it is outside the knowledge base of an environment. A sense of knowing that there is more to know, perhaps. *shrugs*

Very interesting. I would like to run some processes through my network to understand it better on the introspective level. Have any good points to look for while I am running them?

    Yes, seems familiar...

'They are seldom understood or appreciated. Most feel profoundly isolated from society - even when they are appreciated. A large proportion of this group opt out of society and never make revolutionary contributions in the standard academic fields or professions. It seems to be very difficult to motivate them to play the academic/scholarly/professional game because they regard even the most venerable of traditions and institutions as absurd or silly. Consider that even the mind of the average professor appears to them like the mind of the average bricklayer would appear to the professor.'

    ^This is on point.

It resolves to the same IP address and the forum functions as normal, but the login tokens don't reach across the two ways of accessing the site. Arbitrary subdomains don't work, so webmail exists specifically on purpose. I guess the admins and maybe moderators get email addresses and somehow a link got polluted by a reverse lookup or something. It's mildly interesting, whatever it is.

Cham forwarded that polymath article you posted to me, which is now bookmarked on my favorites. Powerful stuff, especially when the topics of education and isolation were discussed.

It must be an excellent joke played on me by this thing called coincidence. jndiii has just recommended me the book QED and I already fell in love with the mind of this man. Yea that's the correct wording to describe the problem. I love Feynman!
