Just let me know via a note, a text, a short conversation that "I am here whenever you need me" And be OK with the fact that I choose to be with myself.

For most people (especially women) the expected thing is to speak to someone when upset or distressed. I dont do that. I need to be with myself, get a handle and then "go back to world" so to speak.
When this happens, I will come to you and say, I was upset with XYZ...still am, but its better. And maybe even discuss it. What I need is for you to be OK with that distance that I will put in the interim & not question my commitment or emotions for you because I do so.
If the other is annoying me, trust me, I will let them know..or completely cut them off

Sorry for if I bored you.....this is close to my heart! A friend was very annoyed and cut off contact with me because I chose not to call him to discuss when something upsetting happened at work! Huh!

Not fit for polite company, so mostly sulking over in Touch of Grey and my blog. Unemployment teh sux but I really ought to get off my hind-quarters and look for a job rather soon-ish.

You feel like you're given a hard time, too? I swear, it seems to me like ENFJs are the least liked NFs around here (which may or may not be true ), so it's kinda nice to know I'm not the only NF who finds this forum a bit challenging at times. (What is up with that, anyway? I mean, jeez, you'd think we'd be venerated for thinking highly of INTJs.)

Admittedly, I haven't been here very long, and my participation is fairly limited due to the time constraints that accompany caring for small children, but I've only ever seen positive comments to your posts... Maybe I'm just reading all the right threads with you in them, LOL.

Love. SacrificialLove. Agent 99. I feel all sneaky now. Like I'm uncovering Mastermind Secrets. I think I'll have a martini to celebrate -- Shaken, not stirred.

I am completely flattered to receive such a compliment from you. There have been countless times that I could have (and should have!) commented on your posts, but everyone else seems to give you recognition, so I thought my compliment would just get lost in the abyss, LOL.

You've totally made my day. This is like one of the prettiest girls in class coming up to me and telling me I'm pretty.

I certainly believe it. I also believe that there was a reason that we never "connected" in high school, considering we had shared similar experiences in life that gave us something to talk about...and heal together...

thanks for the input, wotsa - that is where I'm headed - but I (lol at myself) have to carefully think it through and plan, because I will only have one chance at it. She lives 1500 miles away, and I will get only one shot at contact - if I blow it, I'll be blocked and have no further means to finding her.

Thank you. Although to some degree I doubt the ENFJ original poster will not really regard it. I find ENFJs absolutely notorious for only paying attention to information that 'feels' right to them or feels more 'agreeable' to them which tends to end up just feeding into their confirmation bias or what they already think is going on instead of trying to find truth and examine things from multiple angles or bit more objectively. It's one of the reasons why I find while ENFJ and INTJ pairings seem amazing at first as both can connect through Ni, they tend to break down very, very quickly as Te and Fe tend to but heads and diametrically apposed to each other.
