I just assumed that since they weren't expressing such a response, they must not have been getting one... hmm. Maybe that wasn't a good assumption after all?

Well, I accept that. It's not like they have to know any of that. They just have to get an "impression" from the music. It has to have a deeper meaning to them... not just evoke movement and imitation.

I guess it's just that I only really respect an intellectual, abstract, or emotional response to music... not the physical one. And unfortunately, most people relate in a physical way. I suppose it's not about their intelligence so much as my considering the physical perspective as an inferior way of relating to experience.

You should take that as a compliment... you're smart enough to MAKE it.

It's depressing, but true that commercially supported bands dry out and start selling 'cop-out' records; the main guitarist get's a wife and has a kid, the drummer is assigned to another band etc etc. I think those kind of factors would sap the creativity from them, since other integral aspects are demanding their precious time.

I'm definitely going to DT, I cannot miss out; even though I'm unsure about door-sales and if the transition room is full or not.

Train of thought and falling into Infinity. Train of thought loses the dream theater essence, but the album itself sort of does it for me. As long as it sounds good, I suppose.
