If both of our post combined still doesn't reveal their glaring fallacy to themselves, then they are going to always remain in a bubble of thought, as stagnant individuals with nothing insightful to offer.

I thought it was a strange thing for someone to say, but now, of course, it makes sense. Thank you for letting me know; I appreciate it.

Was (not so) passive aggressive. No need to comment on my effort if you didn't intend it to have some sort of relevance to the discussion. OK MOST black metal isn't "super lo fi" whatever than means.

Thanks for the support, man. Can't say his words bothered me much, but it's still nice to see someone in your corner every now and then. Cheers

Touche. I'd like to say I'd wanna be a guy for a day just to see what it's like...but I'm pretty sure I'd never go back, haha.

I think perhaps we have different preferences in that regard, then. I'm not too big on early Cryptopsy, though I think that might be a matter of production more than anything as their classics are phenomenal live yet feel rather boring on the album. For me, anyway.

That, and I find melody to be the key thing that pulls me to music, which is a big factor in my love for melodic death metal. But sometimes you just want to sit back and hear some wicked riffing, and when done right the rhythms can be just as exciting (if not moreso) than a good melody. It's all situational, of course.

Ah, pretty good choices on there though. Mine isn't the most accurate either, since I can't really keep track of what I actually listen to through the actual discs nor what runs through my iPod. The latter would've definitely added up, as I would manage to squeeze in about five to six albums a day when I was working full time. I hated that job, but getting to just isolate the world and zone into my music while I worked was quite the luxury!

I see Cryptopsy is listed as your most played, they've actually been to our city twice now - once just earlier this month. The first time, I actually had the privilege of opening for them - it was pretty killer, actually. Ever see them live yourself?

Ignore the username, made it years ago when I was a hardcore Slayer fan. Clocked in so many plays by now that I just don't have the heart to get rid of the account.

Ah, great! That tour was really making some waves when I heard about it, understandably so since Arsis were at the height of their popularity and everyone was quite obsessed with Necrophagist at the time. They were with Dying Fetus when I saw them, and honestly I couldn't have asked for more perfect conditions - two of the best (in my opinion) technical metal bands in one night, it was profound. You're missing out though, a lot of people like to speak ill of Starve for the Devil, but it's mostly because of the cheesy nature of 'Forced to Rock' - the rest of the album is quite solid, and I personally feel stronger than We Are The Nightmare. Their latest 'Unwelcome' is getting great reviews as well, but it's not really making an impression on me - despite how much I want to like it. Who are some other bands you enjoy?
