No worries, we are having an explosion of sock puppets and other equally frustrating rule violators lately. I am still hampered a bit by being down a pc but taxes should clear monday/tuesday and then parts shall be ordered.

I sold it when I moved to the States. Getting paper to allow for import was too much hassle. The nice thing was I sold it to a Miata collector so I got a good price for it.

I missed that car, we used to be able to pick up a used one for less than 10K

Hi PJF, could you point out the comment feature for me so I don't make the same mistake twice?

Nahhh, he was too firm on the price for the issues it had, so I walked... It looked like it had an oil leak, it had NO brake pads at all, and it had been laid down before, which he didn't mention in the ad. Don't mind a bike being laid down before, but it's common courtesy to mention that in the ad.

I bought an SV650 (naked) that's been wrecked (only paid $750, and it runs great), and I've been rebuilding it/stocking up parts to rebuild it.
It's mostly cosmetic stuff, but the forks do need replaced; I'll be doing that next week, I think.
The cosmetic stuff doesn't bother me... I bought a new (used) tank, but I'm gonna' leave the dented one on for a year so that I won't cry when I drop it.

Hey man... Don't know if you're still looking for a bike or not, but this one seems like a pretty good deal.

Don't want the rabble thinking I've gone soft . I'll look it over and bump any reports I was undecided on, can't think of any off the top of my head.

I've kinda' gotten used to the noise... I like it, and more importantly, everyone else hates it.

Yeah, BrotherCavill rides and is in the market for a bike too (R6), so maybe one day.

I saw a mint 1992 HD Sportster with 5K miles for $2K on Craigslist the other day... If I'd known you were (almost) in the market I'd have tipped you off. =P

It'll be my first bike, but I value my life and as such will take the MSF course and never ride without full gear. >.<
I know it's powerful, but I'm pretty careful... I have a feeling if I die it'll be because someone doesn't know which lane is theirs when coming around a corner on an interstate off-ramp, not because I decide to go 140 MPH and lose comtrol, or because I grab the throttle when hitting a pothole.

I mean... I AM trying to justify buying the bike I want, but I think I'm being fairly reasonable about it.
You know, until you realize the same argument I used above could be applied to a 'Busa or R1 or VMax or GSXR 1000 or whatever. >.<

Do you ride? What do you ride and how long have you been riding?
    Just curious haha.
