I thought you were talking about the statistical case where younger, more intelligent, better educated wives make for better marriages... in which case, their higher IQ might well not mean higher overall intelligence.

Its hard to be sure that smarter women are much more careful in the kinds of guys they choose, although they might often choose or attract guys who respect intelligence (who in turn might be intelligent themselves)
