We are completely on the same page. I've taken a lot of blow-back from "feminists" in various threads for essentially pointing out exactly what you've tried to point out here in your thread.
When you quote a post, the text of the post will appear in the post window between quote tags. You can cut down the quoted material as you desire, and if you want to intersperse your own comments you can copy the beginning and ending tags to enclose each item you want to quote in its own tags.
