I think the issue here is your use of the world "universally." Universally means "By everyone; in every case." Unless you meant that, of course. (Not trying to be rude.)
Accepting that life is not dreams and that you have to work together to make it work - is still a valid resolution. Especially when everyone's lives are hard.
