music has taught me what i need to know about discipline, hard work, commitment/dedication, teamwork, communication, and studying. i want to imbue the youth with this information to reverse the effects of idiocracy.

Sweet, it's a really good manga! After you get through the first... few... chapters. It starts off pretty typical, but it gets much better!

Why yes it is! He is Oz Vessalius from Pandora Hearts. The avatar itself was taken from the artbook Odds and Ends. If you're planning on watching the anime, read the manga instead. It's way better, and the anime cuts it off at the worst point.
