I suppose each of us have our own sets of realities to live by, no man's code is true enough for another.

Wage shock therapy may be too controversial for the tastes of many Singaporeans, but surely minimum wage isn't. Yes?

Interestingly I was the recipient of one wretched comment today that will haunt me for some time to come. That jobs paying $3 bucks an hour will find willing takers. How unfortunate... considering people are the movers and shakers of society, I wonder why we're so eager to perpetuate the outcome of something we so proudly condemn. Haha... the irony.

Why broken? Broken things can be fixed! Damages create needs that generate human motivation and thirst. Hunger is the driving force for many.

Whoa... that's a whole lot of pessimism right there. And since INTJs aren't bound by social taboos, why isn't it "nice" to talk about politics? Who's watching? lol...

But yea I can relate to that sentiment of pride as a Sgrean, truly. Causes one to secretly root for the passing of shock wage therapy hahaha... Ya know, umm, just to level the playing field. Hey, someone has got to do the bear the brunt after decades of fucking up by the unspeakables, don't you think?

    1) good ethics can enhance efficiency in many fields
    2) this kind of thinking falls flat as major scientists, academics, artists and countless invaluable people have poor health or are seriously disabled.
    3) Rethink

It's going to be hard to explain why I find this view funny when you are seemingly expressing it in all seriousness. Medical science to me is an art that exists to mitigate the suffering in people. Now, I know this is an ideal - not necessarily a reality for every practitioner out there, plus it is also a serious business. However, saving people with lousy genes is not the prior mission of medicine. In any case you can't tell who has lousy genes in a given, average healthy population since that would not be exact science, on top of not being ethical, let alone for disabled people or mentally challenged people. These groups deserve to be taken care of because they have their own qualities and are human, like me and you. Last, when I said this is funny, I meant it in the sense odd - possibly slightly off track - not in the first sense of the word causing amusement.

I was talking of drugs in a much wider sense, including, but not limited to, those readily provided by nature, and those created by our own brains. And, for the record, I don't find your view extreme, I find it extremely funny.

Yeah, I agree, yet earth alone would be beautiful but boring. A world without humans would be like a human world without drugs.

Humans and therefore their humanity are part of nature so I don't see your point.
