Nadette!! Yay! No I test pretty regularly between 3w2, 7w8 and 5w6. I think my "thinky" part might come from my Big 5, which is always SCUEI, which correlates with ENTP generally.
there seems to be two distinct types of ENFP - the more introverted borderline "thinky" ones (borderline I/E & F/T) and the more bubbly/warm feeling extroverts. Sometimes I wonder how we can be of the same type!
I liked the elder. I'm not sure exactly why I liked him, but I agree with you saying his monologues were a little fluffy. I enjoyed his wisdom, mostly. Everything he said had a nugget of truth in it, and it did widen my horizons.
I really don't have a "favorite" character per se, because they all are so complex and each of them have something fantastic to offer, even Fyodor Pavlovich. However, I'm more inclined to favor Alyosha, because, well, I just think he's so darn cute! What do you think of the elder and his views/beliefs?
That is very true. I really enjoy getting lost in all of the characters. It's just so... lush. If that makes sense? I like to think, and it gives me a lot to think about. It just works (:
I recommend researching INTJs thoroughly as well if you can; INTJs are in all likelihood the most complex of all 16 types. Understanding goes a long way to establishing.
I don't have any relationship experience, so please take this with a grain of salt, but one of the best ways to interact with an INTJ is to get involved with their pursuits. Say your INTJ loves books. Read the books he reads, understand why he likes those books, and discuss them with him. Maybe your INTJ loves Psychology or Economics. Get a thorough grasp of the subjects so you can competently discuss them. Don't BS anything in these subjects, and do not pretend that you know more than you are discussing; acknowledge your limits. INTJs value competence, and pretending your understanding is greater than reaity will turn him off. If he knows, for example, that neuron functionality is electrical and chemical and neuroplasticity involves reconfiguring the mind, and you discuss neurons blasting off as purely chemical, and you describe neuroplasticity as involving atomically-plastic-like-encasement of neurons, he is going to walk away thinking you a fool.
No worries. INTJs are complicated group that is very often misunderstood. You'd be amazed at how many INTJs fit that video, and nothing ever comes of what could potentially be a relationship because the INTJ does not engage.
Holy crap, EXACTLY. That's my scoring too - but 97% N for me....it took me a long time to figure out if I'm an ENTP or ENFP and decided that I can be all of them if I so choose. That one was hard and still is though as they are both Ne doms, which is my strongest function.
At work I'm an ENTJ/P and in my personal life an ENFP. Something about how you articulate strikes me as how I think as well.
Yes - I'm a very low feeler and extrovert...and perceiver (i hate that it gives me a misspelling for that too, the red underline drives me crazy) i call it balanced functioning, meaning we can fluidly move between F/T etc.
Ah! Hello, haha. Nice to talk to another ENFP. Thanks for the welcome, it's a little accurate, seeing as I've only posted a handful of times, but I've been lurking for a bit over a year here. Still, hello! :D
NADETTE!!! thanks for coming to the rescue. We need to form a super hero duo who's super power is to change how some crotchety INTJ who hate ENFP's view us!
violin is a toughie! my main axe is the mythical classical saxophone. i'm also pretty good at guitar (non-classical). i want to get better at flute and i really wanna learn bassoon. the only things i haven't learned are brass and double reeds.
