Yeah, trying to work with people across continents has always been a bit of a headache in my experience, but it could've been worse.

Yeah, they may not have much to comment on yet. It's not like there's tech architecture for them to provide feedback for or anything.

Yes, you can easily use Jquery with it. I found it pretty easy to get into. Honestly, I'm not really sure where to find others who are familiar with it. The only other guy I know who works with it just got hired by Amazon for six figures, so he's not exactly available or in your price range.

I just want to emphasize that whoever you get to do this project, you should have them use GWT. It's what I use for all my web app development, and it is fantastic.

Awesome! That's great news. I always like to hear about success stories... too much whining on this forum...

Agreed and that's what I'm getting at. The appeal to academia in this thread looks like a bid to avoid actually dealing with any content while also claiming legitimacy. At the very least that's the function it has. The dismissals of academia, which aren't really better, in turn follow as a matter of course.

It's just because the original appeal to academia has no substance in the first place. The user hasn't presented anything to refute.

In the context of this thread, it appears to be a way to delegitimize what anyone else might say without actually addressing any of it.
