So during my work I came across your user name...should've known it was something IT related. Haha.

The effective use of the cache for read and write operations can have a significant effect on server performance. You must monitor for increased cache failures, indicated by a reduction in the Async Fast Reads/sec or Read Aheads/sec.

Did you imagine Regis Philbin saying that like I did? "Final answer? "

I look at her posts (and not just hers) like puzzle pieces. I don't know how the pieces fit together until I get a few of them and try to match them up. Then, I can get the bigger picture and respond to that. Similar to AOA, I want to reach some kind of understanding to progress the conversation into something meaningful or productive.

The IBM Selectric? No, but I am grateful for it, and supplies and repairmen are available.

I prefer the Smith Coronas, and the one that I have, I like very much.

The body is not as high; it weighs far less; it doesn't make so much noise when I type; there is a pleasant 'hum' to it when I turn it on; and I can figure out what is what on it without too much effort, which is good, because I need my energy for the thinking, the actual putting thoughts to paper, using all my senses...

When, however, I have to send off the Smith Corona to be cleaned or serviced, Gromit can get the Selectric from the basement, and I can use that until I get the Smith Corona back.
