I went to AIP a while back and once hit up their Half Priced Bookshop. Spotted a lone dusty crate of records behind the counter (this was 2000 before the resurgence of the format), and inside was a heavy boxset of Cyril Ritchard reading Alice in Wonderland. (Ritchard was Captain Hook in the Mary Martin musical of Peter Pan.) But best of all - housed inside the box set in a die-cut box was a dead mint facsimile reproduction of the clothbound hardcover first edition of the book, illustrations and all. It was a delightful score for $7.

I totally understand the unfortunate spike in midcentury popularity - I experienced the very same with the vinyl renaissance. I once took home 40 Chess label first pressings from a thrift store for .99 each. Today that is nearly impossible. Also found a mint sealed Elliot Smith Either/Or first press at a Goodwill for $1.50. Forget about it today.

I'm starting to see the same price spike effect with 60s and 70s cult mass market sci-fi paperbacks. It's a damn shame.

    For sure!

What's even more interesting would be that we now have two new members who purport to be Eurasian. Oddly, their syntax is very similar to each other and to Eurasianpsyho. Guess they all think/type the same way.

It's a pretty shocking shade. I'll have to get more pictures tomorrow once I have my hair and face did.

Is it the impact of Fe or something else, something forboden to say on INTJf?

People who don't take responsibility rarely get ahead. Thin excuses are not accountability. I hope he digs his grave sooner rather than later for your sake though.

There is a wonderful indoor/outdoor antique mall in Buffalo called Antique World. I’ve furnished my entire home with neo-Victorian and eclectic pieces from markets like these. Best of all, two days of every month they feature a multi-acreage community garage sale. While not ideal for finer antiques, it’s still loads of fun to stroll the shaded grounds, chance upon delightfully unique items, and to people-watch with friends.

Do you have a similar haunt in your city?
