Thank You. The gal that did it used to teach color for Paul Mitchell. She's solid, thankfully. I was white-knuckled in the chair when she started chopping though! lol

Awesome. I got a few hours of sunshine tonight so I'm ready for some more rainy days. I'm new to the area so still getting use to the climate.

Yeah, a tripod is a very good accessory to have. Just don't get a very light one, though, unless it has the provision to add weight (the hook at the bottom). I have a very light one and it takes very little to move it out of position.

That's a very good deal. I just have the kit lens and paid more than double that for a new one. My friend has the same 3 lens kit but no tripod or remote; she manages to get self portraits by getting her daughter to sit in her place while she focuses after placing the camera on a table on top of a few books.

Same with me and photos and cameras, no photography interested friends either. I'm very much behind the camera not in front of it

Why not use your Rebel? Too heavy to hold one hand? o.O
    Just use both

That meditating thingie was quite chill and I think it helped. I thought it was yoga, though I don't understand the definitions of yoga and meditation. And the music sucked. Personally I like to meditate or something more on Meshuggah, lol. Somehow Meshuggah I always find really good for that.

People try to place an object where they need to be, focus on it, set the timer, then go to the spot and remove the object. One guy uses a stepladder!

Since you are using a Rebel you can use EOS utilities to control your camera from your computer via the USB cord. This is an interesting way to get rather short range self portraits (unless you have a long USB cord) which isn't available to those who use other brands.

What Rebel do you use? I have a 600D (T3i) and love it
