I think many times people act on 'association'. So if pain is associated with stealing cookies then the you have people looking to avoid the pain, not stealing the cookies. I ponder if this little girl will grow up hating mom for humiliating her as school. A better way would have been to call the other girl over with parents. An apology, maybe a gift, maybe they become friends, and we find some connection and happiness vs more pain.

Another member asked if I was being serious. Ofcourse not, but the concept of applying some pain and humiliation as some sense of punishment opens the doors to all sorts of others, where does it stop.

You have great insight on this; I'm really flattered that you quoted me and all.

Awesome picture! I think you have to change the [img] tags to say [imglink] for the link to work, though.

Color doesn't matter. You're stunning, regardless. I mean literally stunning. I need a moment to regain my composure.

Wow, what a change compared to the sunny picture. Now the black is really going to stand out! You tan easily then.

Smaller towns can be great that the people are more personal. Otherwise it can later feel like a prison though. At least it does for me since I've always been in a small town and I am so happy when away! Meeting the same and the same people gets a bit dull after a while for me.

Check the TED but I bet I got to those from your FB links.

How are you and your family? You have moved right? Did you have to move for the kids to get better care or because of jobs?
Do you enjoy the change in climate?

Thanks for the comment. If more people saw things that way there would be less problems.
