No it's the fact that I can debate someone all day but he did ask how I got the info so I told him to try explaining it to me because I didn't just jump to conclusions. It was something I found in a sequence of understanding and so it is that in life we don't always find the truth the first time. The freedom to rise is the freedom to fall. I am subject to that rule as well right? If I didn't think someone could do something why would I ask them to do it? If you think about it I consider him competent to answer all that alone as long as the desire exists. I don't mean to come across like I am insulting or anything...

I appreciate your edit, but the moderator part of me wishes you hadn't, since it kinda robs my quote of context. Mostly, I kinda wanted to illustrate perhaps a difference between Si and Ni thought, as well.

Yeah, think about it as Ni/Se tries to "get the feel" of a topic, rather than register the specific data. Once we get that "feeling", the data falls into place easily, even brand new data, which gives the Ni "mystical" quality others ascribe to it.

I love your input about Si, in general. It helps me refine my overall understanding of the function, making me much less prone to stereotypes. Thanks!

You weren't being vicious; it was only a misunderstanding. I hope we can learn to communicate better with each other in the future.

Ha! What a blast from the past! In my adolescence, a peer likened my giddy enthusiasm to that of a golden retriever. ...and my communication to an encyclopedia. I wasn't sure whether to feel good or bad about that because I enjoy both, but I am neither and I am supposed to be neither. I decided to become less so. However now, as serious as I am often seen and as far away as the word "play" is from how others might describe me, its actually fun to be thought of in the same light as golden retriever!

Ironically, that could be one of the most difficult things to find out about someone online...especially for a first impression. I myself have been thought to be a female quite a few times.

An ISTJ is one of my best friends. If you're anything like him I'm sure I'd take an ISTJ over an INTJ anytime. Intj's can be interesting but they are extremely selfish and narcistic, just ignore them.
  18. masterpeach
ISTJ definitely do not suck. If there were more people like them out there, the world would be a stable place.

The rabid anti-Sensor sentiment gets a bit out of hand around here, sometimes. My entire family of origin is full of sensors. I'll take my occasional playful jab at Ss (I get it right back for being such a "big picture" thinker that I can't see the obvious/common sense stuff right in front of me ), but I dislike the superiority complex that seems to dominate the forum.

And it's total irony to me when an empathetic/empathic NF says that they are better than others (especially an SF), with regards to empathy. It's like, "Yeah, let's all fight about who is more/truly people-oriented, regarding groups full of people-oriented people who love harmony." Seriously.
