It seems crow does understand the distinction, although his approach reflects it minimally.

    Maybe some cognitive dissonance ?

    Synchronicity Alert !

I just read the anti-intellectual thread.

Yeah, what you're saying is plausible.

I think it was Rex the Red who made the observation, crow doesn't get compassion. I agree with that observation and believe 'people suck until they don't', by crow, is consistent with the not getting compassion.

I'm not surprised the initiator to the recognition was Tom, as he seems to keep track of things like that. The Sheldrake/TED ongoing episode, is another thing I heard Tom mention in a video, in which he connects to Belief Systems.

I've only read the Wiki on Frankl, but what got me clued in was admin's and mods at Campbell's site.

This, I cannot stress how much win this is for you to have made it into words. I am envious that you were able to do so.

Because, I found that the greatest decisions we make are from emotion and logic, combined; not with exclusion of either.

I have developed my Fe, and worked very hard at it. I am a core INTP, however. The door is very complicated. The key I have found: Find who you are, what your meaning of life is, and something to believe in.

(With respect to the 'belief that anyone is capable of anything' thought):
Limitations in how far I will go out of my way to help people - yes definitely.
Limitations for myself, well, that's the punch line! Probably, but this tends to be something I only figure out in retrospect (sadly).

    The Dan Keizer
Aw, thanks. I was going through avatars like toilet paper for quite a while before I settled on him and it may be permanent.

I guess you probably don't know the story about him, then. I think he was a German living under Nazi rule, but he was a gentile married to a Jewish woman. So eventually he was thrown in a camp because of this for a time.

For a long time he was unknown in that picture, until I think his daughter or somebody recognized him. He has a name, but I can't remember what it is.

It's a perfect pic for me, goes along with my political beliefs, my personality, my love of vintage pictures like that....
