Oh, yeah didn't think of that! That could be a direct result of the military experience, or an indirect result stemming from self-discipline.

I used to have the same prejudice as Anna, but I agree with you now. Military men, self-discipline is usually the bonus.

That is correct. It is what I mean by yes and no. It's not really their fault for being drafted if they have to, nor is it their fault for choosing to defend their country. It's dependent on the pyramid structure and who is on top. It's basically a hippie view and would be seen as irrational as you put it.

'Sound' is different to phrase, which is what i was talking about (re: jackass). 2 Americans can say the same phrase, but they may sound different. I took your first use of 'sound' literally as i didn't know how else to.

To lump them into one category is like saying all Americans sound the same isn't it?

    From the Wiki about Autosuggestion:

"According to one of his [Emile Coue] journal entries (1916), he apparently cured a patient of a uterus prolapse as well as "violent pains in the head" (migraine)"
"In the early 20th century, Emile Coue used autosuggestion to cure patients; his work is evidence to support the existence of autosuggestion and the power of the human mind."

We are changed by what we think and iterpret. That is how experience works on us, IMO -- depending on how we perceive it, we adapt.
