A person who can connect the dots the way you can, deserve all the praise there is. I've read A Nation of Cowards, and I really liked it. I still have a copy of it, somewhere.
"Well, whatever you do, don't buy a blanket and succumb to fear of the cold. You have spoken, you have succumbed to the fear of being convinced." lol, outstanding.
haha i don't think america is the bees knees at all, i just think it's kind of ridiculous to think that it has anything in common with these countries. it's like when i say i've seen a news story about the burmese and i'm countered with 'well there are poor people here too, you know!'
did you see how people in syria were/are being treated? is there really that level of discontent in america? i keep saying - if people have nothing to lose, they do that sort of thing in desperation. people in america have a lot to lose, and they just can't be grouped in with countries like burma, kazakhstan, syria, wherever!
Yeah, it's kind of creepy, but I remain optimistic. On the lighter side, the exact same theory has been relatively applicable since the beginning of...language. At least I'm pretty sure it has been. Let me know if you find anything you want to share.
