No i can't play drums. I either use redrum or existing Dr Rex loops and play around with them (if i'm gonna be lazy and use samples i'll at least tweak em a bit). Your stuff is good, especially like the feel of Cards on the Table, and the sounds in Diamonds and Gold. It's all consistent, like you own your particular style you know? I'm a way off that yet i think. If i had one criticism though it would be that some of the tracks could do with filling out a bit musically to give it a bit of extra oomph. Like The Opus for instance i think would benefit from adding in bass lines/frequencies and beefing up the percussion a little.
Hey thanks. It's cool you saw it that way, i guess i was going for the story kinda feel to it. I suppose unusual for my MB type i don't feel as confident writing/singing lyrics though, much prefer to concentrate on the music. I tried listenin to a couple of your tracks on youtube but it kept saying an error had occured so i'll try again another time, unless you know what the problem is perhaps?
Can tell. Your flow and voice are recording-ready. Reminds me of Q-Tip sometimes. Had to start learning keyboard myself so I could use it as a midi controller for rhythms.
