In answer to your question. The fear is often voiced by them, surprisingly enough.

Here it seems as though all the science, engineering and business degrees are highly regarded, but the liberal arts degrees aren't so much. I know the clueless feeling though. Hopefully that eventually goes away, but I couldn't tell you yet. It would be cool if there were more subforums. I just wish I'd known about them before my post. It's annoying not being able to get to my own thread.

I'm actually a Classics major now, but I just recently declared a double major in Philosophy (again).

Over here, you go to high school for 4 years and usually graduate at 18. Then you can go to college/university for 4 years and receive a bachelor's degree (I'm not sure if you guys use this term?). Graduate school is an option after college where you can get a masters and/or a doctorate degree. (again I'm not sure if you use the same terms?)

Can you explain to me now what your system is, because I'm confused about your use of college and university? Here, they're mostly the same thing.

Travel sounds great though. I wish I'd taken some time to do that. I did take an online course once though, and it was really great. I think sometimes they fit better with the INTJ style, because you have a little more freedom.

I found out my thread moved to a Religion and Mythology forum that you can't see unless you have 80 posts.

Well, I'm still here in college. Couldn't come up with a plan for what I would do if I left, so I figured I might as well stick it out. It's gotten better at times. I seem to go through periods where I feel really interested and ones where I don't. I've toyed around with the idea of grad school. Usually when I think I want to go to grad school, I feel motivated and enjoy college. When I think I don't want to go to grad school, I feel very unmotivated because I figure I'm just going to forget most of what I'm learning in a couple of years anyway.

Any ideas what your plans are?

My job was truck driver but I ended up being an office manager because I knew how to type. I liked my time in the Marines in some ways. It was a rush commanding supermen. In other ways it wasn't so fun, being ordered around by morons until I picked a bit of rank. Go for it but try to get a job that is INTJ friendly.

But the mods say I must bother whoever I want to chat with to use irc. I really hate doing that. IMO irc is troublesome to use too.

Maybe it's the logical thought process that gives off those vibes? Or just the the presence of a thought process?

No, I don't look like her, and I don't have any idea who she is either. But I chose it because of her look, yes. There seems to be something really deep and intense and thoughtful about it that I like. I suppose it's a reflection of qualities I'd like to think that I have...you know, instead of being empty and unreflective.

King's Speech is very good. I'd say it deserves all its awards. The script is very well written and the balance between seriousness and humour is perfect. The actors are awesome and both main characters left very strong impression. There is a twist in a film that I did not expect and adds in one more reason why I like this film - I want to be surprised! And if you are a Brit, I'm sure the pace is not slow for you. I see that the American fellows (even INTJs) like Black Swan more. This film has faster pace and more stimulation but that's too much for me. In a nutshell you must watch King's Speech!

Oh Chinese is not too fun to learn as the second language. Grammar structure is very loose and word usage is not precise. The characters are hard to write too. But each character has its own meaning so its own story. This may sound fun to you. Some characters, according to my INFP friend whose major is Chinese literature, are very romantic in how it is constructed. Hard to imagine, eh?

Yea my heart was broken twice by England... I even cheered for England in Rugby Sevens and this year... It's full of agony.

I like English as a language. Maybe it's too popular now that no one really noticed, but English has a kind of elegance and directness that I cannot find in Chinese. And I really like Queen's English. The British accent is really, really, really enchanting. I watched King's Speech and I was just overjoyed to listen to an hour full of British English. Oh and Oxford and Cambridge.

I also like how Britain usually has slower pace than American. More serious than American in general. And I like Harry Potter very much. I'm not sure whether this could count as a reason.

The people are nice, with courtesy. I guess there are too much extroverts in US and they make my head aches.

Don't give me a false hope, mate.
BTW which part of Brit are you living in? I like British culture very much. May be Hong Kong being British colony is part of the reason. I cheer for England in World Cup instead of China so you know. =P
I went to England once before, for 3 weeks. And I really like the country. Weird, eh?
