I noticed the same - not sure if it's an INTJ specific trait. People not saying thank you in general bug me.

Had to split this into 2, here's the second part:

I'm glad you know the true meaning of what a university is, most people don't understand it, but only that it's necessary to get a job. It wasn't always this way, but it's the new barrier in the modern age. A HS diploma was all that you needed back in the day. But the purpose of University was to learn formalized domains for further study, but most importantly, to learn how to learn on your own.

Glad your learning about databases, extremely important stuff. I have a Data Analyst background, so I've definitely had my fair share of writing SQL queries.

My friend in SJ's a web designer, and maybe you can meet him sometime.

Cool, there's 2 Ethiopian places around the corner of my place, and it's great! I'll let you know the next time I come down.

You made a good decision of leaving Davis to save money, wish I had done that for my first undergrad. Agreed with Community College, it's the place to learn a lot of things you can apply immediately. I'm freelancing right now, but once I get a day job, I'm planning on taking some courses in the evening, probably Math and Statistics. My goal is that once I go back to college full-time I can skip a lot of the pre-requisite stuff and dive into the major. My goals are to be involved in a research/engineering capacity. I'm amazed by electronics, and the hardware and software thats made to work together.

Hmmm...major in computer science and minoring in psychology...but more fascinated with the latter. Do you have any particular career goals in mind? Do you imagine yourself combining the two in some major way? Of course, psychology is valuable in any field as well as in our personal lives.

Have a great time, work hard in school, and get help when you're stuck. Wish I could stick around here, but UC and Cal State schools aren't allowing 2nd BS students because of budget issues, etc. I'm going to try to work here for another year, then move back to PA and go to a state school.

I wasn't a serious student in college, and felt I wasted a lot of time. 7 years later, it's really opened my eyes to what I really want to study, the kind of career I want to have, and the kind of people I want to be near, and work with.

I have friends near Japantown in San Jose, and visit occasionally. Let me know if you have more questions, or want to meet, I'd be glad to tell you all the mistakes I've made so far! How did you find the forums?

    Take care.

I'm glad if i could help. Just don't put yourself down!! I know it's hard, but you must resist! Everything is in passing, even the state you're in now. But you have to learn to help yourself to be able to get out of there quicker! ...Remember: relations are free medicine and are actually relatively easy to establish. So even if you feel lazy, push yourself a bit and just go for it!! ^-^

I was also most interested in psychology, but it is unavailable locally and financial limitations stop us from financing my education elsewhere.

Looked into a course at the medical section of the local university; "medical laboratory and imaging diagnostician" is the closest I can get to a raw translation of the label. Supposed to train one in the use of medical imaging equipment like MRIs. It is the only sensible university choice available to me that'd provide me with employable skills, and one I could realistically do.

Difficulties in mathematics (haven't encountered the fields you've mentioned yet, aside from Wikis) and past general disinterest in active school studies makes me reconsider its validity, though. Completely unsure whether or not I want to take that sort of stuff seriously. Considering training to be a baker or something of the sort a viable alternative, and pursuing a simpler lifestyle just to keep myself healthy. No idea yet.

    Thanks for the input, though.

May I ask what your field of work/study is? I'm also an INFJ with similar relation to maths and having difficulties figuring out what kind of education to pursue.

Yes. I agree that parents should not create them in the first place. But if unfortunately it's created, then the parents have the responsibility to take care of them. This is what I think. This implies that it's a good idea to have body check before deciding having children. If the risk is very high, the parents should consider not to give birth, unless they want to take up the responsibility.

My feelings seem Heisenberg-y. Analysis changes the outcome, or something like that. I must need more practice... Is there a good test to see if I'm truly 5w4? I looked at the descriptions and made a guess. I did take some test that reckful posted and got RLOAI.

I'm still on the fence... self analysis seems much more difficult than analyzing others. Don't suppose you have tips for me? :D
