Sorry to hear that! Sounds like life hasn't treated you very well recently I've had my fair share of disappointments with people, too. However, I've learned that it's important to treat oneself as best as possible - it creates the right vibe to attract the right people. My intuition usually helps me with picking the right people (and making sound choices), but sometimes I am just too trusting and willing to adapt and make things work. In the end, one is left with nothing but empty batteries.
Hope you'll make some nicer and more reliable friends soon! As for your studies... well, I changed my university and program twice before I found the right one in which I excelled and what I've enjoyed as my profession for 10+ years now. Maybe you can find a different university or major?

Oh, and thx: I did work hard on that "stability"... I've grown a lot in the past 2 years. It's still work in progress though.

Hey there, sorry, my wall got "spammed", so I realized I never got back to you. I don't know much about the American education system, but I think - depending on what you study (except for engineering) - it's the same here.

Why have things gone downhill? Doesn't sound too good. For me things have stabilized a bit - or say, I managed to stabilize them somewhat. Ha.

These are great points! Problem is...if you leave the system as-is, the divide also worsens. (I'm thinking specifically of tax reductions for the rich from the '80s forward. Even when the rates stand still, that gap just keeps growing...)

    It's a bit old, but..

"As for spanking and violence. It sends the message that if you are in a position of power, then the initiation of force is justified. Spanking is never justified."

I don't agree. It simply sends the message that there are limits that should not be passed over. And this is true in many situations in life. I never saw my mother as in a position of power over me, or was never afraid of her, I could always say what I thought and disagree. I just learned how far I could got with her before she'd get really p!ssed Off. Trust me, spanking is justified when the child doesn't seem to understand your words.
You should not mistake education with violence and abuse. Kids are to some extent like animals, they don't have the same level of logic and conscience as adults, so, sometimes spanking them is the only way to convey a message to them.

Tolerating your education? What is it that it's only tolerable? Sorry to hear about your health issues... good to hear you're well again. All I remember is your quite impressive childhood story. Have you gotten over that incident in the meantime?

As for me... thanks for asking, I am doing ok-ish. After 1.5 exhausting years, I really hope that things will look up again soon.

Obscura>Spawn of Possession. I like SOP's music but their guitar tone/recording is awful. But yeah, Muezner is one of my favorite artists.

I have a bizarre pain tolerance too, & anesthesia tolerance. I was recently diagnosed with chronic bronchitis & my doctor recommended smoking weed. Lulz, my fiancÚ was there and did a double take. He thought because I had bronchitis & some other stuff going on smoking should be the last thing I do, but it doesnt bother me much.

Growing boy? I thought you were like 20. Lol. I always have had health issues myself, I've always been very good looking despite the weightgain because I as well was too thin before. Lets see, my favorite nickname was literally just being called a 12 year old by other adults without any respect, in college- I looked 12 from ages 14-19. My mother called me a waif, relatives loved to say "You look like a holocaust victim!" Etc etc. I used to be a gymnast & choreographed dance before sports injuries, & I think if I had not been so muscular at a young age I might be my sisters height. She's like 5'4, I'm not even 5'1 so I was really scrawny. I also looked like a little boy so my mother insisted I grow my hair out. Tbh, the weightgain didn't bug me terribly as much as confuse me. Then I gained literally over 100 lbs but I was a walking skeleton because I wasnt muscular anymore because I quit gymnastics. I have a rare genetic disorder that messed up other genes, a messed up spine too, neuropathy etc & a bad pancreas (but no diabetes) just a slew of health issues. But I can't help but marvel at the fact I carried the weight amaaaazingly! I was like, "So, this is what it's like not to feel my bones & have a butt, or boobs hmmmm..." I still had a muscular physique with the gain, I have hypermuscular issues too & muscle weighs a lot. I lost about half of what I gained (so over 50 lbs) & since I'm 25 I'm lucky enough skin is bouncing back. But I'm still losing & it's like, "Hey, I'm totally fine with where I'm at I don't want to be bones again!" My least fav nickname, my friends called me Bones after the woman from Bones & because I'm boney. Even now I have boney ribs that show & such. My pancreas & being off the weight gain medicine probably is the biggest contributors since I've lost a lot of muscle too. But, being in a vain society I can't help but feel vain. I recall seeing a pic of you in the hospital right? Blood filtered or something? I thought you just looked tall, very hard to look healthy tall. 170 is healthy but plus being tall & you're suddenly bones. Damn bone structures right? In the futuuure we'll be able to like, alter ourselves as easily as avatars! We just need to live that long. My avatar would have a giant ass, giant boobs, itty bitty waist & be my height lol. Fuck being too skinny it's annoying as a female. XD How's your health anyway? Sorry on my cell had no idea how lonv this was, also typing on a cell is extremely difficult.
