I do love my INFJ BFF so very much. About 10 years ago I was ready to "break up" b/c I didn't understand all of her feelings and irrational decisions. But she never gave up on me, and has always been my rock in the most dire of times. A true friend with a compassionate, selfless heart. I'm sold!

Word. Yes, that OP is irrational. It's weird and kind of infuriating. I liked your post! I only recommended therapy because I felt sympathy and wanted him to feel better. It looks like you're right and he's not interested/too old to change. Oh well.
