    Pardon me?

I'm not interested in engaging a discussion with someone that ignores what I'm saying and generalizes absurdities for me to respond to.

All valid reasons. However there have already been some amendments to amendments in the past. It's possible to do. It could be a minor change, I think people could live with that. Situations change. But I also agree with you that changes are needed elsewhere to mitigate these crazy shooters issues that happen on a regular basis in the US. That said, there is a lot of work to do then. Certainly American society does not appear to be very healthy, not just speaking on an abstract moral level here, though there is that, but problems such as poverty, absence of education, obesity and mental issues are plenty and disrupt "society" as a whole on a regular basis.

I understand that and agree. However the constitution was written in the 18th century and does not reflect today's reality in regard to threats, population control and firearms use, specifically. But case in point, changing it would meet a lot of resistance. I agree that the problem is societal and possible fixes within families, dysfunctional, poor or uneducated ones would be a good step to take. Very complex issue however, as dysfunctional families are legion. This, not just in the US. Very unfortunate.

It doesn't need to be the root of the problem to be a serious part of the problem though. Obviously something is dysfunctional here and access to gun to almost anyone is a greatly aggravating element. No doubts, there will always be crazy circumstances where crazy people rise to do crazy acts. However, mitigating issues is possible and desirable whether is is limiting access to firearms to psychos or education in the general sense or well being of the population as a whole, to prevent this to happen, as much as possible.

I am sorry, I think I should have said something first. I am okay - dressing up to go out now, it's morning here. I added you because you wrote some interesting things on an infp/intj thread and I agreed with you (well,in my mind). In other words: thank you for accepting the request, and how are you?

That's an interesting perspective. I hadn't looked at it in that light. Maybe I'm talking to a future CEO. Do you think you would like to run a company in the future?

    Can I get a loan? J/K

I see it took one hell of a drop. Like yourself, I tend not to buy into the whole "long term" thinking. I tend to look at what a company has in the pipeline whether it be new contract or products. I tend to go from there. No potential for growth, then I tend to cash out and reinvest in another fund.

I imagine it can get pretty stressful in that line of work. I'm reasonably sure that keeps it exciting. What is the most satisfying part of what you do?

Great snapshot. You two look quite happy.

What market do you trade on? AMEX, NYSE, NASDAQ, commodities or mutual funds? The funny thing is that I used to want to be a broker when I was a kid. I spent lots of time watching the Nightly Business Report and Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser. I still manage my own funds and I think I do a pretty good job at it. I just don't think I would want to worry about someone else's money.
