    Shallow characters, obvious and unrealistic plot line, stiff interaction between characters (especially the "sex" scene), all of which makes sense when you read Galt's speech, which is apparently all Rand really wanted to say. The rest was just a bad attempt at surrounding it with a story.

    I work in the field - have for about 11 years. Started off in foster care for 6 years, but I work primarily with adults now. I think I said it in the thread, but it bares repeating - it's disturbing that parents are not taking a more active role in deciding what is and isn't appropriate for their kids to play. Games with those themes really desensitize people to the pain and suffering of others, which leads to a break down of social norms. My personal opinion is that they aren't simply for blowing off steam as some others in the thread would like us to believe. I'm glad that you're taking a proactive stance and preparing to deal with the psychology of children and adolescents in the school setting. Before I started working here, I had no idea just how prevalent these types of abuse are.
