BEJ commented on Literature preference and type?
to waste time, I googled INTJ and Ballard. It was kind of surreal to come across a post exactly expressing my sentiments on literature (merle's). Carl Jung was a genius.

How is American Gods? Love Gaimon's speech on art, but not read any of his stuff.

Ever on the look-out for the rare fictional female INTJ, I will probably read this book solely on your passive/unintentional recommendation.

It's not like the same social force is affecting everyone. Young people experience a different social force than elderly people. People in immigrant communities (of which there are many, obviously) experience different social forces than those in areas with mostly natives. There are tons of other sub-cultures (not the best term in my opinion).

All are still affected by some things that come from living in Britain, I won't deny that. How significant is that compared to other environmental factors, though? My point is: environmental influence != influence of British culture. In fact, as crime rates in Britain are relatively low, one could argue that being exposed to British culture reduces the risk of criminality.

    I'm not well versed here.
Bratkilla and Mantis are the only two that I've found worth replaying.

    Mantis - Insomnia
    Mantis - Roughed Up
    Mantis - Fumes

    Bratkilla - E-Fekt
    Bratkilla - Discharged
    Bratkilla - Garuda

The Way Is Shut. It was made by those who are dead, and the dead keep it. The way is shut.

No, but apparently you think being culturally British is an nebulous idea. Okay, maybe it is. However, it seems very odd to then claim that something would have its roots in this nebulous entity (of British culture).

I can't offer any practical advice, as I haven't gone for a post-grad degree, but I do hope things get better for you soon! *hugs*
