Hmmm, good viewpoint. Maybe I shouldn't stop dating altogether and just stop dating the person who is frustrating the shit out of me. Thanks, man.

I always wondered why we had to wait to take off. The gay planes in front of us must have been busy!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes I don't remember how much fun I had, sometimes I was so aggravated that it's fun remembering it.

I remember a few years back, took the family camping. It rained as soon as we got there, I set up the tent while the girls huddled in the truck. It didn't stop raining until an hour before we left, couldn't keep the fire lit. I wrestled with the dog at every pit stop there and back. Best weekend of my life.

I don't trip anymore. Having passed the point of no return I no longer need hallucinogens. I can see bullets emerge from the barrel of a gun in slow motion, just like in those movies with Laurence Fishburne. The Matrix. They got the idea from me. Seriously, you probably like sci-fi. What films do you recommend that came out after The Matrix? I don't keep up with pop culture much.

The S&W 686 has a boss look to it, as does the Ruger GP-100.

As unlikely as it is, that sounds like an invitation. Even if it is though, having an affair with your married boss is probably not a good idea.

"You know you're having a good day when you spontaneously burst out in a wave of maniacal cackling in public."

I put it in quotes because I just said it and now I can quote myself on it. :D

It was a genuinely satisfying "fuck-you" to the guy. Plus, since he's so close with my evil ex, she can listen to him whine. I ended up dumping the girl shortly afterward, but he's never going to be the same.

So I did the world a favor.

I'd have to go with a Smith & Wesson. I've been around guns all my life but never actually owned one myself. Here in the South there is a thriving black market among ordinary, law-abiding citizens. There's a major retailer near me. They have a firing range and offer instruction. With my mental health history I don't know about the background check, but I'm not some nutjob who would be irresponsible. My neighborhood is quiet most of the time but there has been some gang activity, mostly internal disputes among themselves. I'd like to have a piece on hand for punk deterrence. Even a gun without ammo has a certain authoritative effect.

Shooting is great fun and cathartic, but an expensive hobby. I get a similar benefit by playing electric guitar at volume.

I'd like to have a .38 revolver, but it's low on my list of priorities due to the cost. In my experience, here in Georgia it's much easier to acquire weapons illegally.

Whiskey should be by the shot, neat or on ice. Anything else is questionable in regard to manly drinking. I was a Jack Daniels man, but later mellowed with Evan Williams. I occasionaly drank scotch, J&B on ice.

Well, okay. White Russians are closer to serious drinking. But I wouldn't say a White Russian is manly drinking.

In my drinking days I wouldn't insult good whiskey by putting it in milk! Milk is for babies, honey.

I explain in the thread how I was trying to help my friend. Like I've said, he is lonely and I think his attitude/beliefs are playing a part in it. I mean, I'm on the verge of not inviting him out anymore and making him even lonelier because of the way he is coming across to people.

I'm sorry I offended you, but did you really need express your dissatisfaction with me in such strong, personal terms? I replied to your post btw. You can read it and let me know what you think.
