I'll have you know that because of this thread, the Harry Potter theme song is stuck in my head and I'm going to have an amazing day because of it.

Your are quite right. And the average IQ dropped back to its "pre-JMD" level...

I've read a few of your posts. Kindly, charitable and bright come to mind. Keep your chin up.

I know what you mean. Lots of people think that mathematicians "add up really big numbers all day", or something like that.

You can bring a fresh view to those you meet, and those you teach!

You are NOT a loser. Things are hard riight now; and while there is not always a "way out", there is always a "way through".

    You have over 1,000 posts!

I carry a standard "composition book" (of the sort students might use to take notes) with me everywhere. Each one has 100 double-sided sheets, so I can get 200 pages of computation, ideas, fiddling around, whatever, in there. One book lasts me about 60 days; then I file it and start another one. I have stacks of them!

I put the date at the top of each page for later reference.

Graph Theory is very beautiful... and very useful in practical applications. I use it in my work on machine intelligence.

Yeah, some good people have been driven away recently. But I'll stay here as long as I can, because I think I can have a positive affect on some people.

Thank you so much for this post. It was just the sharing of your opinion, but an opinion that brings a lot of peace to me.

Yes, the overestimate is 1/3. Did you get this by listing the cases? Like, in a TREE?

What does this TREE look like when there are 5 points?
