Yeah. There have been a few instances in my life where I was able to maintain the isolation it required to get really good at lucid dreaming. The most recent one was a couple years ago and it lasted about a year. Aside from my job as a caterer I spent all my time alone meditating, exercising, wandering the woods and reading material on Philosophy, Mythology, Theology, Science and generally anything that would feed my imagination. By the end of that year my dreams were more vivid and lucid then reality was and I saw my waking life more as a penance to gain access to my own world. I really enjoyed it but I guess I got a bit detached and people grew concerned. So I ended up being forced to socialize more and that led to partying and stuff which inevitably killed it. I may have gone a bit overboard before but I’m finally out of that party phase and would like to try and find some balance between my lucid dreams and reality now. Perhaps maintain it by taking on some actual realistic goals like school or something. Idk yet…

I know what you mean. After a while things tend to lose their color and you disconnect with yourself thru false simulations. Best advice I can give is to try and take some time to sort yourself out. I know it can be difficult to tell everyone you don’t want o party for a while or whatever your situation is. But just take a couple months to yourself to clear your mind and I’m certain you will feel worlds better. That’s what I’m doing and I’ve been feeling better and better. I’m still just as lost as ever but at least I am grounded enough to deal with it now.

    Thanks!

Well I haven’t smoked in about a month and a half now and my dreams returned after about the first 3 weeks to a month. However they are slowly becoming more lucid and coherent and the quality of them seems to be improving with time.

A few years ago before I started smoking I was big into lucid dreaming and very good at it. I want to reach that point again but it will likely be about a year before I can get to that point. It took me a while last time to.

I browsed an article about lucid dreamers and brain studies using MRT but don't recall if it was the same piece or not.

Do you think it would be nice to live in Santa Cruz, and commute to Mountain View?

Start by disembodying women from their wombs and the next thing you know it's pages and pages of vellum.

Where are they? I will go out and find some and ask them where to find more. Somehow they don't seem to want to work for me... must be because they're not qualified.

It doesn't resonate with me, but give it a whirl if it does with you.

I'd just caution you to treat it like any other model and 'kick the tires' so to speak.
