You can play through one game at a time and at the end of it just do 1 test, and continue to the next game. Follow that pattern until you're done with the steam account. I've been wading through some books about mnemonics and some of the authors claim that yes, literally, You can pick out the most amazing details from Your memory, the things You didn't even know was there.
Since their more primitive methods work and others just logically build on them, I see no reason not to believe them. I had no reason to remember grades in my elementary on some random Thursday. However, I remember that in 5th or 6th grade our schedule for Thursday was Geography, Biology, Mathematics and English.

I think of it this way: every day is a new experience. It is unwise not to learn anything from it. So, You learn something new by default.
I also think that brain by default remembers, that there is actually mechanism for repressing memories and not the other way, I remember reading about that somewhere... vaguely.
