Wasn't writing, writing, but I was writing an important paper; my program has sort of a practice-dissertation requirement in 4th year, where you have to write a research paper of X quality. That's why I was gone, but fortunately I was successful in meeting X quality. Two more years, likely, before I go on the job market.

    Thanks for the concern

And, by the way, your drawing skills are amazing. I really do wish I had such a gift.

No, not at all. I liked it a lot. It must have taken time, which I in some strange way appreciate. I suppose my reaction to it was due to my shock. I really didn't expect a stranger to make such a nice drawing of my face, you know?

Could you send me the picture you drew, but is now gone? I would like to keep it, if I could..

hm? Are you really a(n) (agnostic) theist? You don't send such vibes. There are always exceptions to the rule, I guess. Or you are just trolling

Thanks for the comment and the post. You really got to the heart of my current disillusion. I'll snap out of it, I'm sure, but for now I'm a bit miffed that very few seem to see the stakes on the table.

I'll have to take our Maggie, a miniature pinscher, to the vet this week. She's suddenly developed a tumour on her upper foreleg/chest. It's about 1.5 inches in diameter, just under the skin. I'm upset about it. Maggie and I both grieved when I had to have Pearl put down, and now this.
