Oh, it's a media studies course, not exclusively looking at Dutch content; the lecturer is Dutch (although he's lived here in NZ for quite a while and has an NZ partner). He looked at how Dutch teens of Turkish descent made sense of their own real life experiences through watching Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (although he admits he's ashamed of the study in retrospect).

Very cool guy too; he obviously speaks Dutch and English, but also Maori! The fact that he made the effort to learn the language of the natives here impressed me.
