I am an ENTP and I have recently gotten the idea to devlop my Si. The reason for this is I watched the movie Memento where the lead character is ISTJ and he has short term memory loss where he forgets everything every three minutes and I was like... that sounds exactly like me! haha But he managed to find a way to deal with it which I found very interesting. Basically, every 3 minutes he observed what was happening, wrote down the facts for when he forgot, and tried to work toward a goal despite forgetting things all the time.
Well I noticed that while I have very good Fe, I don't have Si at all. I don't pay attention at all to what is happening literally and I think it would be very helpful being an ENTP with ADD to do so to keep me on track. So I tried asking questions like, "What is happening now?" and a little less "How does this compare to situations I've been in in the past?" Then I noticed I automatically started using my Fe to consider other people if they were present, Ne to consider the future, and Ti to use the information I learned about the present to find the best outcome, which were often solutions to problems I was dealing with atm. And the whole time I was using my Si to keep track of the facts of what was happening and record the data.
IOW, I used my Si and automatically used all my other senses since it was undeveloped, but by using that undeveloped sense I was able to better use ALL my other senses exponentially. Isn't that incredibly interesting? SO I think I'm going to start using this faithfully like the guy in Memento did. I'd also like to here how other people use this. I find it very interesting how it could possibly make my future life so much better. It makes me make desicions more with a judging preference like a dominant Si of ISTJ and ISFJ would which is very helpful, better predict the future outcome and best possible outcome, and just makes everything better. I'm still experimenting with my Ne and trying to figure out the best thing to do with my Ti, but would anyone else like to share what they think about this? I'm very interested to hear about other ENTP's experiences. Thanks guys!
